With reference to your letter of the 7th October
1899, No. 25795/99, relative to the proposal to acquire from
the Colonial Government certain land at Hong Kong near Mount
Parish, Wanchai, for Admiralty purposes; I am commanded by
the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to acquaint you for
the information of the Secretary of State for the Colonies,
that they agree to the terms proposed in your letter, viz.-
30 cents a square foot and a nominal rent of $1 a year.
2. Certain additional land is also proposed to be
acquired beyond that referred to in your letter under reply
